FreedomFest 2021 will take over the charming Rapid City downtown as well as the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center for our conference program. During the day, we’ll meet for FreedomFest programming at the Rushmore Plaza and Anthem Screenings at the historic Elks Theatre. Then we’ll go out on the town with fantastic and entertaining evening social events throughout the city and at surrounding landmarks.

Elks Theatre

Built in 1912 and fully refurbished, the Elks Theatre blends 20th century charm with 21st century technology. The two-tier theater seats 600 and is home to Anthem Film Festival July 21-24, 2021. Enjoy full concessions, comfortable theater seating, movie theater screenings and complete panel discussions with filmmakers throughout the festival run. Just a 10-minute walk from the Rushmore Plaza, FreedomFest will also provide a shuttle service between the Rushmore Plaza and Elks Theatre throughout the day.

Dahl Arts Center

The Dahl Arts Center has served as a premier western South Dakota arts center for contemporary visual arts, arts education and performing arts since it opened in October 1974.
